Tara Harkin, Labour doula Me: I'm a mother of one perpetually in motion toddler in the Mississauga, Ontario area. I had a wonderful (as far as I can remember, but I won't swear to it) pregnancy and a really positive labour experience. I had one of my closest friends as my doula, two amazing midwives from Midwifery Care of Peel and Halton Hills, Sandra and Remi. Although it was long, I felt incredibly supported by the people around me, including my mother and sister. I've always been fascinated with pregnancy. I started doing belly casts about 12 years ago. Celebrating your changing body and the life growing within with birth art is wonderful. And when you look back and remember it all, you have something physical to remind you of the journey you've been on. I am a board member with Doula CARE as well as a member of a number of Doula associations including Canadian Doulas. I 4am currently on the board of Doula CARE, and a member of a variety of Doula associations. Training:
